Well that didn’t last long. Goddamnit I wish I wasn’t compelled to call bullshit when it’s right in front of me! I’m still going to vote for him because I believe he’s more or less better suited for the job, but make no mistake, Obama is no progressive. In fact, he’s barely a Democrat at all. I’m so fed up by my fellow liberal/progressives willingness to overlook his glaring failings of leadership and the blinkered acceptance of the utterly baseless idea that he will find consensus with a modern Republican party which has shown no interest in compromising on anything crucial to the progressive cause.

And, excuse me, but Colin Powell can kiss my ginney ass. “In this vial…” remember bitches?! All the way back to his Mai Lai cover up efforts, he’s the ultimate water carrier for militaristic, American hegemony. Why anyone accepts the mantle of seriousness and moderation Powell has been bestowed with is just fuckin’ beyond me.

I’m sure some will be tempted to write this off as just negative thinking, but I’d argue that negative thinking better describes just not thinking at all. Glass half empty again today I guess… fuck!
