By now I’m starting to feel like Obama could lose this thing… not that it matters much either way… I really, desperately hope I’m wrong, but it seems to me that the guy is essentially just a really skilled motivational speaker who’s goal (just like McCain’s with slight variations) is to reassure the ruling class that everything will be more or less kept status quo.

Why can’t the great Obama use his amazing powers to grind the Republicans into fucking dust as they deserve to be? Why does he continue to focus on his image (which enormous stadium will he announce his nomination from, etc.) while allowing McCain to define him as the candidate of Dungeons and Dragons lusers?

Damn I hope we’re not as fucked as I think we are…
